How to play Alhambra Solitaire?
1. Begin by dealing out four rows of four cards each, face Up, in the center of the table. This is the tableau.
2. Deal four more cards, face Up, to the right of the tableau. This is the reserve.
3. Flip over The Top card on the reserve and place it face Up in the discard pile, to the left of the tableau.
4. The Goal of Alhambra Solitaire is to move all cards from the tableau and reserve to the foundations. To do this, you must build four foundations Up in suit from Ace to King.
5. You can move cards from the tableau to the foundations in Ascending order, regardless of suit. You can also move cards from the reserve to the foundations, or from the tableau to the reserve.
6. You can also move cards between the tableau piles in descending order, regardless of suit. For example, you can move a King to a Queen, a Queen to a Jack, and so on.
7. When tHere are no more moves left, you can draw a card from the discard pile and place it on the reserve.
8. When all cards have been moved to the foundations, you win the game.
Alhambra Solitaire
This game is played with two decks of cards. First, 4 A in 4 suits and 4 K in 4 suits are dealt as the start of 8 foundation piles. The aim of the game is to put all the cards to the foundation piles. The foundation piles are built with cards of the same suit, where the piles starting with A are built up and the piles starting with K are built down. Below the foundation piles, 8 tableau piles are dealt, each pile has 4 cards. The remaining cards form the stock pile. Each time you flip a card from the stock pile to the waste pile, and you can move the waste card to the foundations if possible. For the tableau piles, no new cards can be stacked on them, you can move a tableau card to the foundation piles or to the waste pile, if the waste card is of the same suit and is one point higher or lower than the tableau card (K wraps to A). When the stock cards are used up, the waste cards can be turned to become the stock cards again, and you can do this twice in the game. The trick of this game is to plan strategically which tableau cards to stack to the waste pile. The more cards you can put to the foundation piles, the higher your score.
