Microbius is a two-player strategy game played on a 7x7 game board. The game board is Divided into two halves, with each half containing seven columns and seven rows. Each player has twenty-one pieces, which consist of four DIFFerent types of pieces: pawns, Knights, bishops, and a king.
To begin the game, each player sets Up their pieces on their side of the board. The pieces should be arranged in an alternating pattern, with pawns in the first row, Knights in the second row, bishops in the third row, and the king in the fourth row.
Players then take Turns moving their pieces. Pawns can move one space forward, diagonally, or sideways. Knights can move in an "L" shape, two spaces forward and one space sideways. Bishops can move diagonally in any direction. The king can move one space in any direction.
The Goal of the game is to capture the opponent's king. To do this, a player must move one of their pieces so that it is in the same space as the opponent's king. When a piece is captured, it is removed from the board. The game is won when one player captures the other's king.
If neither player captures the other's king, the game is a draw.
