Wire is a two-player game that is played on a board with two sets of Wires, each of which contains Five pieces. Each player takes Turns Connecting two pieces of their Wire with a straight Line. The Goal of the game is to be the first player to Connect all Five pieces of their Wire.
To begin the game, each player takes one set of Wires and arranges them however they like on the board. Once both players are ready, they each take Turns drawing a Line between two pieces of their Wire. The first player to Connect all Five pieces of their Wire is the winner.
If a player draws a Line that creates a loop, they must remove the Line and their Turn is over. If a player draws a Line that creates a triAngle, they must remove the Line and their Turn is over. If a player draws a Line that creates a Square, they must remove the Line and their Turn is over.
When playing Wire, it is important to plan ahead and think about the moves your opponent may make. It is also important to be aware of the DIFFerent SHAPES that can be created by Connecting two pieces of Wire. By understanding how the pieces of Wire can be Connected, you can plan your moves accordingly and hopefully be the first player to Connect all Five pieces of their Wire.
