Objective: The objective of Algerijns Patience is to build eight foundations Up in suit from Ace to King.
SetUp: The game is played with two standard 52-card decks. Begin by shuffling both decks together and dealing out 28 cards in a 7x4 grid. The cards should be dealt face Up.
Gameplay: The game begins with the four aces in the four corners of the grid. The aces are the foundations and the Goal is to build each foundation Up in suit from Ace to King.
Players can move cards around the tableau, but Only if they are one rank higher or lower than the card they are being placed on. For example, a 6 can be placed on a 5 or a 7. The cards must also be of the same suit.
Once all the cards in a column have been moved, players can then fill the empty space with a card from the reserve. The reserve is the remaining cards from the deck that have not yet been dealt.
When all the foundations have been built Up to the King, the game is won.
Tips & Strategies: • Try to keep the foundations in the four corners of the grid since they are easy to access. • Try to move cards around the tableau as much as possible to free Up cards from the reserve. • Try to keep track of what cards are in the reserve so you can plan your moves accordingly.
