How to play Speed Bumps?

Objective:

The objective of Speed Bumps is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards.

SetUp:

1. Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards and deal each player 7 cards.
2. Place the remaining cards face down in the middle of the table. This is the draw pile.

Gameplay:

1. The player to the left of the dealer starts the game by playing any card from their hand.
2. The next player must then play a card of the same suit or the same rank.
3. If the player cannot play a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.
4. If the player can play the card they drew, they may do so. If not, their Turn ends and the next player takes their Turn.
5. The game continues in this fashion until one player has no cards left in their hand. This player is the winner.

Special Rules:

1. A Speed Bump is when a player plays a card that is not the same suit or rank as the card previously played.
2. When a Speed Bump is played, the next player must draw two cards from the draw pile instead of one.
3. If the player can play one of the cards they drew, they may do so. If not, their Turn ends and the next player takes their Turn.

4. If a player draws two cards from the draw pile and is able to play both of them, they may do so. This does not count as a Speed Bump.

5. If a player runs out of cards in the draw pile, the discard pile is shuffled and placed face down to become the New Draw pile.
