To begin a game of Golf Solitaire, create a tableau of seven columns with Five cards in each column. The Top card of each column should be face Up and the remaining cards should be face down.
Gameplay
The game begins with the player selecting a card from the tableau. This card can either be The Top card of any of the columns, or any card from the waste pile. The card must be placed in the waste pile.
The player then selects the next card from either the tableau or the waste pile. This card must be placed in a column on the tableau, if possible. If the card cannot be placed in the tableau, it must be placed in the waste pile.
The game continues until all of the cards in the tableau have been removed. If a column is emptied, the player must fill it with The Top card from the waste pile.
The player earns one Point for each card removed from the tableau. The player loses one Point for each card placed in the waste pile. The player with the highest score at the end of the game is the winner.
