Chippolino is a fun and exciting card game that is popular among families and friends. The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
Objective: The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards.
SetUp: Each player is dealt a hand of 5 cards. The remaining cards are placed in the center of the table and form the draw pile.
Gameplay: Each player takes Turns playing a card from their hand onto the discard pile. The card must either match the rank or suit of The Top card of the discard pile. If a player cannot play a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.
If a player has two or more cards of the same rank, they can play them together as a “Chippolino”. This will clear the discard pile and the player will get another Turn.
If a player has a card that matches the rank or suit of The Top card of the discard pile, they can play it on top of the discard pile. This will also clear the discard pile and the player will get another Turn.
The game ends when one player has no cards left in their hand. The player with the fewest cards in their hand at the end of the game is the winner.
Variations:
THere are several variations of the game that can be played. For example, some players allow a player to play a Chippolino on any card, not just The Top card of the discard pile. Some players also allow a player to play multiple Chippolinos in one Turn.
