1. Color Matching - Use a variety of Colors and SHAPES to make a game of matching. Use cards, bLocks, or other materials to allow the children to match the Colors and SHAPES.
2. Memory - Use a set of cards with pictures or Words on them. Turn them all face down and have the children take Turns flipPing two cards over. If they match, they keep the pair. The player with the most pairs at the end of the game wins.
3. Freeze Dance - Play some fun music and have the kids dance and move around the room. When the music stops, they must freeze in place.
4. Simon Says - Have the kids Follow your instructions when you say “Simon Says” before each command. If you don’t say “Simon Says” before the command, they should not do it.
5. Hide and Seek - Have one child hide while the others count to 10. Then the others must try to find the hider.
6. Hot Potato - Pass a stuffed animal or other object around in a Circle. When the music stops, the person holding the object is out.
7. Musical Chairs - Set Up chairs in a Circle and have the children walk around the chairs while music plays. When the music stops, they must find a Seat. The player who doesn’t find a Seat is out.
8. Balloon Pop - Give each child a Balloon and have them try to pop them by sitting on them or using a sharp object.
9. Duck, Duck, Goose - Have the kids sit in a Circle. Pick one child to be “it” and have them walk around the Circle tapPing each child on the head and saying “duck” until they pick someone to be the “goose”. The “goose” must then chase the “it” around the Circle and try to tag them before they can sit in the “goose’s” spot.
