1. Understand the rules of Sudoku. Sudoku is a logic-based number-placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3x3 sub-grids that compose the grid contains all of the digits from 1 to 9.
2. Look for the easiest Numbers to place. The easiest Numbers to place are those that appear Only once in a row, column, or 3x3 Box. If you can place a number in a row, column, or Box without having to look at any other Squares, then you should do so.
3. Look for Numbers that can Only go in one place. If you can identify a number that can Only go in one Square, then you should place it tHere. This is ofTen the case when a number appears twice in a row, column, or Box, but Only once in the other two units.
4. Look for patterns. As you work through the puzzle, you may start to notice patterns that can help you to identify which Numbers should go in which Squares.
5. Use elimination. If you can eliminate certain Numbers from a row, column, or Box, then you should do so. This can help you to identify the Correct number for a particular Square.
6. Take a break. If you get stuck, take a break and come back to the puzzle later. You may find that you can see the solution more clearly after taking a break.
7. Check your work. When you have finished the puzzle, check your work to make sure you have placed all of the NumbersCorrectly.
