How to play Octum?

Octum is a card game for two to four players. It is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.

Objective:
The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards.

SetUp:
Each player is dealt 7 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in the center of the table.

Gameplay:
The player to the left of the dealer goes first. They must play a card that is either the same suit or the same number as The Top card of the discard pile. If they cannot, they must draw from the deck until they can.

Once a card has been played, the next player must either play a card that matches the suit or number of the card just played, or draw from the deck until they can.

If at any Point a player has no cards in their hand, they must draw from the deck until they draw a card that can be played.

Ending the Game:
The game ends when one player has no cards in their hand. That player is the winner.
