How to play The Phoenix?

1. Choose a dealer. The dealer will shuffle the deck and deal each player seven cards.

2. Place the remaining cards in the center of the table to form the draw pile.

3. The player to the left of the dealer begins by playing a card from their hand. This card must match the suit of the card on The Top of the draw pile. If the player cannot match the suit, they must draw a card from the draw pile and then play it, if possible.

4. Play moves cLockwise around the table. The next player must either play a card of the same suit as the card on The Top of the draw pile, or draw a card from the draw pile and then play it, if possible.

5. If a player plays a card equal to the rank of the card on The Top of the draw pile (e.g. a Queen on a Queen), then the player may take the entire pile of cards and add them to their hand.

6. The game continues until one player has no cards in their hand. The player with no cards in their hand is the winner.
