Solitaire Chess is a single-player Chess game. It is played on a standard 8x8 Chessboard. The Goal of the game is to checkmate the computer opponent in the fewest number of moves.
1. Set Up the board: Place the pieces on the board in their starting positions. White goes first.
2. Make a move: Players take Turns moving one piece at a time. All the standard Chess rules apply.
3. Check for checkmate: After each move, check to see if the opponent’s king is in checkmate. If it is, then the game is over and the player who made the move wins.
4. Make a new move: If the king is not in checkmate, then the player must make a new move. The game continues until one player checkmates the other.
5. End the game: Once a player has checkmated their opponent, the game is over. The player who checkmated their opponent is the winner.
Solitaire Chess is an addictive puzzle game vaguely based on chess, but you don't have to be a grandmaster to play it. The rules are simple - move your pieces the same way as in chess, performing an obligatory capture every turn. The objective is to capture all pieces on the board leaving just a sole one standing.Knowing chess rules is not required - the game has a built-in tutorial and a cheat-sheet for moves.
