How to play Red Light Green Light?
Red Light Green Light is a Classic children's game that can be played with two or more players.
Objective:
The objective of the game is for the players to race to the finish Line without getting caught by the person who is "it."
SetUp:
One player is chosen to be "it" and stands at the finish Line with their back to the other players. The rest of the players stand at the starting Line.
Playing the Game:
Once the game has been set Up, the player who is "it" will shout "Green Light!" and the other players will start running towards the finish Line. When the player who is "it" shouts "Red Light!", the other players must freeze in place. If any of the players are caught moving after "Red Light!" has been shouted, they must reTurn to the starting Line.
The game continues until one of the players reaches the finish Line without being caught. That player is the winner and the next round can begin.
Variations:
THere are several variations of the game that can be played. For example, the player who is "it" can shout out DIFFerent commands such as "Left Foot!" or "Right Foot!" instead of "Green Light!" and "Red Light!".
Another variation is to have the player who is "it" count to Ten before shouting "Red Light!" This gives the other players more time to reach the finish Line.
