1. Set Up the board: Place the board between the two players so that each player has a light-colored Square in the lower right-hand corner.
2. Place the pieces: Each player has 12 pieces (or Checkers) of their own color. The pieces are placed on the 12 dark-colored Squares of the board.
3. Choose a color: Each player chooses a color and places their pieces on the board accordingly.
4. Play: Players alternate Turns. On each Turn, a player can move one of their pieces diagonally to an adjacent empty Square.
5. CaptuRing pieces: If a player moves a piece to a Square occUpied by an opponent's piece, the opponent's piece is captured and removed from the board.
6. Kinging pieces: If a piece reaches the far side of the board (the opponent's side), it is crowned a king and can move both forward and backward.
7. Winning the game: The game is won when one player has no pieces left on the board.
Play the classic checkers game. Plan your moves, and try to outsmart the computer. Rules are based on English / American Checkers, or Draughts (no flying kings).
