How to play Making Words?

Making Words is a fun and educational game for children of all ages. It is designed to help develop a child’s phonics, spelling and vocabulary skills.

Objective:

The objective of the game is to create as many Words as possible from a given set of letters.

SetUp:

1. Choose a set of letters. This can be either a single word or a set of random letters.

2. Place The Letters in the center of the playing area.

3. Each player takes Turns selecting a letter from the set and placing it in front of them.

4. Once all of The Letters have been chosen, each player has a set of letters in front of them.

Gameplay:

1. Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, each player takes Turns creating a word from their set of letters.

2. Once a word is created, the player can either keep the word or exchange one or more letters with other players to create a new word.

3. Players keep taking Turns creating Words until all of The Letters have been used Up.

4. The player with the most Words at the end of the game is the winner.

Tips & Strategies:

• Encourage players to think of creative Words that combine two or more letters.

• If a player is having DIFFiculty creating Words, suggest that they look Up the definition of a word or use a word list for reference.

• Encourage players to use their imagination and to think outside of the Box.

• If a player is struggling to create Words, suggest that they exchange some of their letters with other players.
