How to play Rum & Gun?

Objective: The objective of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all of their cards.

SetUp:

1. Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards and deal 10 cards to each player.

2. Place the remaining cards face down in the center of the table. This is the draw pile.

3. Turn The Top card of the draw pile over to form the discard pile.

Gameplay:

1. The player to the left of the dealer goes first.

2. On your Turn, you must either pick Up The Top card of the discard pile or The Top card of the draw pile.

3. You must then discard one card from your hand, placing it face Up on the discard pile.

4. If the card you discard can be used by another player to complete a set, they can call “Rum” and take the set. A set can be three or four of a kind, or a sequence of three or more cards in the same suit.

5. If a player calls “Rum” and takes the set, their Turn is over and the next player takes their Turn.

6. If no one calls “Rum”, the next player takes their Turn.

7. The game ends when one player has no cards left in their hand. That player is the winner.
