How to play Sports Mahjong?

Sports Mahjong is a variation of the Classic game of Mahjong. It is played with the same Tiles and game rules as traditional Mahjong, but with a sports-themed Twist.

1. Set Up the game:

Lay out all 144 Tiles in the traditional Mahjong formation. This is a Square of 18 Tiles by 18 Tiles.

2. Choose the dealer:

The dealer is the player who shuffles the Tiles and deals them out to the players. The dealer is chosen randomly and the other players draw lots to determine their Seating positions.

3. Shuffle and deal the Tiles:

The dealer shuffles the Tiles and deals out 13 Tiles to each player.

4. Determine the winds:

The four winds (north, east, south and west) are determined by the first four players to draw Tiles. The first player to draw a tile is the north wind, the second player is the east wind, the third is the south wind and the fourth is the west wind.

5. Play:

Players take Turns discarding and picking Up Tiles in an attempt to form winning hands. A winning hand must contain four sets and a pair. A set can be either three of a kind or a sequence of three Tiles. The player with the most Points at the end of the game wins.

6. End the game:

The game ends when a player has a winning hand or when all the Tiles have been drawn. The player with the highest score at the end of the game is the winner.
