How to play Junior Chess?

Junior Chess is a simplified version of the traditional game of Chess. It is designed to introduce children to the game of Chess in an easy and fun way.

1. Set Up the board: Place the board on a flat surface. Place the white pieces on the first and second rows of the board. Place The Black pieces on the seventh and eighth rows.

2. Learn the pieces: THere are six DIFFerent pieces in Junior Chess: the King, Queen, Rook, Knight, Bishop, and Pawn. Each piece moves DIFFerently, so it’s important to understand how each one moves.

3. Start the game: The player with the white pieces moves first. White moves one of their pieces to an open space on the board. Black then moves one of their pieces to an open space on the board.

4. Take Turns: Players take Turns moving their pieces. When a player moves a piece, they cannot move it back to the same space.

5. Win the game: The Goal of the game is to capture the opponent’s King. If a player’s King is in check (meaning it is threaTened by an opponent’s piece), they must move the King out of check or capture the threaTening piece. If a player’s King is in checkmate (meaning it is surrounded by the opponent’s pieces and cannot move out of check), the game is over and the player with the checkmated King loses.
