Reap is a two-player game that requires a standard deck of 52 playing cards.
Objective: The objective of Reap is to be the player with the most Points at the end of the game. Points are earned by collecting sets of four cards of the same rank.
Set-Up: 1. Shuffle the deck and deal out the entire deck evenly between the two players. 2. Each player should have 26 cards. 3. Place the remaining cards in the center of the table.
Gameplay: 1. The player who is dealt the first card will start the game. 2. On each Turn, a player must draw one card from either their hand or the deck in the center of the table. 3. After drawing a card, the player must discard one card from their hand. 4. If a player has four cards of the same rank, they must “Reap” those cards and set them aside. 5. The game ends when all of the cards have been drawn.
ScoRing: 1. At the end of the game, each player will count the number of sets of four cards they have Reaped. 2. Each set of four cards is worth one Point. 3. The player with the most Points at the end of the game is the winner.
Tips: 1. Keep track of the cards that have been discarded and Reaped. This will help you plan your moves and anticipate your opponent’s moves. 2. Don’t be afraid to discard cards that you think your opponent might need. This could give you an advantage in the long run. 3. Try to collect sets of four cards early in the game. This will give you a head start in the race for Points.
