1. Gather your equipment. You will need a bow, Arrows, and a Target. Make sure that the bow and Arrows are the Correct size for you.
2. Set Up the Target. Place it at the Correct distance for your skill level. Beginners should start at 10 yards, while more experienced Archers may want to start at 20 yards.
3. Take your stance. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, with your left foot slightly in front of your right. Make sure that your shoulders are Square with the Target and that your bow arm is straight.
4. Nock the Arrow. This is the process of putting the Arrow on the bowstRing. Make sure that the nock (the notch at the end of the Arrow) is Seated firmly against the bowstRing and that your fingers are not in the way.
5. Take AIM. Focus on the center of the Target and draw the bowstRing back until your arm is fully exTended. Make sure that your bow arm is straight and that your draw hand is level with your face.
6. Release the Arrow. Relax your draw hand and allow the Arrow to Fly.
7. Score your Shot. After the Arrow has landed, use a scoRing system to determine how well you did.
8. Repeat. Keep practicing and refining your technique until you become a master Archer.
