La Banconota is a card game from Italy for two to four players. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards, with jokers removed. The AIM of the game is to be the first player to collect four of the same rank of card.
The game begins by dealing out the entire deck of cards evenly among the players. Each player then arranges their cards in four piles of thirteen cards.
The first player then chooses one of their piles and places it face Up in the center of the table. The next player then chooses one of their piles and places it face Up next to the first pile. This continues until all four piles are face Up.
The first player then begins by taking one card from any of the four piles. They must then either keep the card or discard it. If they keep the card, they must then discard one of the cards from their hand.
If the first player has collected four of the same rank of card, they win the game. If not, the next player takes a Turn.
Play continues in this manner until one player has collected four of the same rank of card and wins the game.
