How to play Horace and Cheese?

Horace and Cheese is a two-player board game for children ages 6 and Up. The game is designed to help children practice their counting and addition skills.

The game is played on a board with a grid of Squares. Each player takes Turns Rolling the Dice and moving their game piece (a Mouse) across the board. The Goal is to be the first player to get their Mouse to the bLock of cheese at the end of the board.

On each Turn, the player rolls the Dice and moves their Mouse the number of Squares indicated by the Dice roll. If the player lands on a special Square, they must do what the Square says. For example, if they land on a “+2” Square, they must add two to their next roll. If they land on a “-2” Square, they must subtract two from their next roll.

The first player to get their Mouse to the bLock of cheese is the winner.

To make the game more challenging, players can add their own rules. For example, they could add a rule that the player must roll a six to move their Mouse forward, or that the player must roll an even number to move their Mouse forward.
