How to play The Branch?

The Branch is a two-player card game that is played with a standard deck of 52 cards.

Objective:
The objective of The Branch is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your hand.

SetUp:
Each player is dealt 13 cards. The remaining cards are placed in the middle of the table, creating a draw pile.

Gameplay:
On each Turn, the active player draws a card from the draw pile, then plays one card from their hand. The card they play must be either one rank higher or one rank lower than the card in the middle. For example, if the card in the middle is a 7, the player can play either a 6 or an 8.

The player can also play a 2 or an Ace, as those cards are considered to have a rank higher and lower than all the other cards.

If the player cannot play a card, they must draw another card from the draw pile and their Turn is over.

Once a player has played all of their cards, the game is over and that player is the winner.

Strategy:
In The Branch, it is important to plan ahead and think about the cards that your opponent might have. If you can predict what cards they might play, you can plan your moves accordingly.

It is also important to pay atTention to the cards that have already been played. If you can Remember which cards have already been played, you can better plan your moves.

Finally, it is important to try and get rid of your highest cards as soon as possible. This will make it more DIFFicult for your opponent to play their cards.
