Beavus is a two-player game that is played on a checkerboard. Each player has 12 pieces, which can be either Black Or White. The Goal of the game is to move your pieces to the opposite side of the board, while preventing your opponent from doing the same.
At the start of the game, the pieces are arranged in a triangular formation on each side of the board. The players then take Turns moving one of their pieces, either forwards, backwards, or sideways, one space at a time. Players cannot Jump over each other's pieces, and pieces cannot move diagonally.
If a player lands on an opponent's piece, that piece is captured and removed from the board. If a player lands on the same space as an opponent's piece, the opponent's piece is also captured. The game ends when one player captures all of the other player's pieces, or when neither player can move any of their pieces. The player with the most pieces left on the board at the end of the game is the winner.
